The Chancellor

The Chancellor of the University is appointed by the President and holds office in accordance to the provisions of the Charter and the schedule.
There is a Council of the University, as provided for in the Statutes.

The Chair of Council of the University is appointed according to the provisions of the Universities Act.

The Vice-Chancellor of the University is appointed in accordance with the provisions of the Act. The Vice-Chancellor is the Chief Executive of the University and as further provided for in the Charter and is the academic and administrative head of the University; have overall responsibility for the direction, organization, administration and programmes of the University; and has responsibilities and duties as may be provided for in Charter.
The current Vice-Chancellor is Prof. Stephen Kiama.
