UoN to host Research and Innovation Week 2025
The University will, this year, host the 9th edition of the Annual Research Week with a twist. The Research and Innovation Week 2025 will be held on 21-24, October 2025. This edition has merged two annual events: The Annual Research Week and the Annual Nairobi Innovation Week.
This year’s theme, "Advancing Research and Innovation from Discovery to Impact in a Dynamic Global Landscape," captures UoN’s drive to translate novel discoveries into real-world solutions that address urgent global challenges.
Building on the success of last year’s forum, which drew over 1,900 participants, featured 60+ expert speakers, and hosted over 470 paper presentations, the 2025 edition is expected to be even more ambitious. Attendees will include researchers, academics, industry innovators, policymakers, and students from Kenya and beyond, creating a vibrant, interdisciplinary community.
Research and Innovation Week 2025 will feature a rich programme of conferences, panels, workshops, and exhibitions showcasing cutting‑edge research across faculties, diaspora collaborations, and innovation showcases. Participants are invited to present papers, lead sessions, and showcase prototypes while engaging with leading academics and global thought leaders.
