UoN –Huawei Partnership to Support Technology Skills Transfer
In an MOU signed on 29th July, 2022 between UoN and Huawei, UoN became the Center of Huawei Technology skills Transfer for all the academies in Kenya, through which it will provide support to the Huawei ICT Academy in Kenya.UoN will support Huawei ICT Academies on boarding process and daily operations by providing Huawei authorized courses and tools as well as other Huawei resources.
The courses provided are Huawei Certified ICT Associate, Huawei Certified ICT Professional, and Huawei Certified ICT Expert.
The University of Nairobi appreciates Huawei’s commitment in forming strong collaborations to help students acquire ICT knowledge and skills through authorized courses and other related educational services.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Stephen Kiama welcomed the signing of the MoU saying it was a great step for UoN’s digital journey and transformation.
“The university supports digital transformation because this is the future for everybody and Huawei is a big player in this field and we welcome this partnership and fully support it,” Prof. Kiama said.
On his part, Steve Kamuya Director for Enterprise Business at Huawei Kenya said Huawei was happy to partner with UoN terming it as an education giant in Kenya, Africa and across the globe.
