Summer Institute in Computational Social Sciences (SICSS) Participation Call
The summer institute on Computational Social Science is designed to help researchers integrate computational tools like Python, R, and AI into their social science research. Participants will learn how to use computational tools to clean and visualize large datasets, conductExploratory Data Analysis, build and evaluate models using machine learning to explain and predict social phenomena. The workshop is jointly sponsored by the University of Nairobi, Faculty of Arts andSocial Sciences, Mathematica and the University of CaliforniaBerkeley.
Participation is open to PhD candidates, early career scholars and faculty interested in computational social science. The workshop is physical and will run for 5 consecutive days. Only those able to dedicate the full 5 days to the workshop are encouraged to apply.Submit a brief letter of motivation and a CV detailing your research interests and publications as a single pdf file to the link:https://tinyurl.com/
