Kenyans to gather for the 2nd Annual Alumni Walk
Walk for a Brighter Future! This is the rallying call guiding the 2nd Annual UoN Alumni Walk. Last year, during the Inaugural alumni walk, the Alumni Association declared raising Kshs. 2.4M which has gone a long way in supporting the needy students at UoN.
The 2nd edition of the UoN Alumni walk promises to be bigger. Mark your calendars! Saturday, 27th September 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. We invite all alumni, students, staff, and friends of the university to join us in making a difference. Guided by Nelson Mandela’s words, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." This year’s walk aims to raise Kshs. 50M that will go towards the UoN Alumni Scholarship Fund.
Last year, the University of Nairobi Alumni invited Kenyans of all walks of life to partner with the Association to educate needy university students. This led to an impressive assembly of alumni in the inaugural Alumni Walk. Beyond fundraising, the walk brought together alumni from various fields and generations, fostering connections and sharing experiences that lay the foundation for future collaborations.

The Alumni Walk is one of several UoNAA initiatives aimed at increasing the Scholarship Fund from the current Ksh 2 million to an ambitious Ksh 50 million annually. It is a testament to the alumni’s enduring commitment to give back to their alma mater and transform lives through education.
Management of the Alumni Association appreciates the partners that have already come on board: NCBA Bank, Office of the Auditor General, Mhasibu, and the University of Nairobi.
