All members of staff who have not collected, completed and submitted the declaration as appropriately are reminded to comply with the directive as required.

This is to inform you that the room application exercise for the 2016/2017 academic year for the above group of students is to start onOctober 25, 2015 and closes on November 25, 2015 at midnight.

100 fully-funded Scholarships for the Rome Model United Nations

The “INTERNATIONAL CAREERS FESTIVAL” will take place from the 5th to the 8th of March 2016 and will be the first event in Italy dedicated to those who want to gain a competitive edge in the world of international careers. The Festival is organized by the Giovani nel Mondo (GnM) Association with the support and patronage of eminent institutions, amongst which are the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Roma Capitale, the European Commission, the World Food Programme (WFP) and IFAD.

The event will be structured into 4 intense days of information and an alternative approach to employment, allowing each participant to choose the path most suited to their needs and abilities, bringing them closer to a successful career. One of the projects within the Festival is dedicated to the world of diplomacy, the United Nations, and international organizations: the ROME MODEL UNITED NATIONS.

The Chinese Ambassador Scholarships

Applications are invited from needy undergraduate students for the Chinese Ambassador Scholarships.  Applicants should meet the following criteria;
 
1.        Registered needy students.
 
2.        Excellent academic record.
 
3.        Individual of impeccable character.
 
4.        Non-beneficiary of any other scholarship in the previous academic year.
 
5.        Full time student of the University of Nairobi.
 
Applications should be accompanied by an application form, copies of the national and university identity cards, certified death certificates and an academic record which indicates actual marks.
 
The application form can be accessed at www.studentsadvisor.uonbi.ac.ke and be handed at the office of the Special Student Advisor by Friday, 30th October, 2015 at 4.00pm.

The World Bank Group is in the process of offering employment to graduates from our University.
 
The Bank targets to recruit current and former graduates in Agriculture, Computing & Informatics, Economics, Education, Environment, Health Sciences and Development Studies. Representatives from Washington D.C
(World Bank Group Headquarters) and Nairobi office will be making a presentation on "Careers at the World Bank Group".
 
The Bank is interested with persons who hold or are currently taking studies at Masters or PhD levels, alumni with related qualifications as well as students in the above mentioned disciplines.

    Kshs. 8000/- for which one may pay direct or apply for a loan from Higher Education Loans Board (H.E.L.B.).

Expression of Interest: Commonwealth Academic Fellowships in the United Kingdom - 2016

Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the UK has announced its call for Commonwealth Academic Fellowships tenable in UK from September/October 2016.

The Fellowships are targeted at early career academics, that is, those who will have been awarded their PhD between two and ten years prior to the start of the award. The Fellowships provide opportunity for Fellows to undertake a period of research, network and update knowledge and skills related to their academic subject and responsibilities.

Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan (CSFP) is one of the largest and most prestigious scholarship schemes for international study in the world. Fellowships are funded by the UK Department for International Development (DFID) with the aim of contributing to the UK's international development aims and wider overseas interests, supporting excellence in UK higher education and sustaining the principles of the commonwealth.
