The University of Nairobi has formally launched the Student Affairs Management Board.  The board to be chaired by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Student Affairs, is charged with the responsibility of managing students’ welfare in the entire University. 

The board which was formally launched on February 14, 2012, oversees the running of various departments among them catering and accommodation, health services, dean of students, sports and games, and others touching on student welfare. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. George Magoha, while launching the board, urged members to liaise closely with the office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Student Affairs, and familiarize themselves with statute xxx of the University of Nairobi Statutes, as well as policies and procedures of the University that relate to management of student affairs.
