Dr. Lilian Wambua of the School of Biological Sciences, University of Nairobi has been selected as a 2011 Award Fellow.
AWARD is a professional development program that strenghtnes the research and leadership skills of African women in agricultural science, empowering them to contribute more effectively to poverty alleviation and food security in sub-sharan Africa.
Over 70 successful candidates have been selected from a pool of 785 applicants from 11 countries. AWARD currently has 180 fellows in its program.
