College of Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences Hosts Senegalese Delegation

Regional Universities Integration: Enhancing Partnership between Senegal and Kenya through the University of Nairobi and Virginia Tech.
The College of Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences (CAVS), University of Nairobi, is hosting an international delegation from Senegal together with members of USAID and Education and Research in Education (ERA) project.
The aim of the one week visit is to explore collaborative partnership opportunities with institutions in Kenya and foster the advancement of the knowledge frontiers for improvement of livelihoods.
Through the partnership meetings planned for the delegation, pilot actions on areas of collaboration will be initiated between collaborating institutions in Kenya and Senegal.

According to Prof. Agnes Mwang’ombe, Principal, CAVS, the forum is an opportunity to establish partnerships that will drive growth and development in the agriculture industry. During the official opening of the forum, she noted that partnerships have played an important role as they have enabled CAVS to enhance its research programmes, and receive facilities support that have assisted the college meet some of its objectives.
