The Fourth University of Nairobi Open Day is scheduled for April 13th and 14th, 2012 at the Great Court, Main Campus.  This will be the fourth time the event is being held since the concept was pioneered in 2008 to create an open forum of interaction between the University and its clients.

The event, accords academic units (Faculties, Schools, Institutes, departments and Centres) an opportunity to showcase their products to various stakeholders, among them prospective students, parents, alumni, sponsors, government and members of the public who are interested in getting information on programmes and services offered by the University.  This is in addition to opening up the University to public scrutiny and providing a channel for public feedback.

All academic units will participate and each has its own stand, which will be manned by faculty members and administrative staff and supported by students.  Non-teaching departments will also participate and exhibit their supportive services. Invitations have also been sent out to select organizations, interested in using the occasion to market their products/services.

The event will be officially opened by Mrs Stella Kilonzo, The Chief Executive, Capital Markets Authority and graced by University Council members and top University management, staff, students and members of the public. The opening ceremony will be held on 13th April 2012 in Taifa Hall starting at 9.00am.

You are all welcome.

We are totally proud of our university, The University of Nairobi, which is transparency oriented. Indeed we only have one university in Kenya and several colleges.
