The Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Research, Production and Extension has set up a Grants and Opportunities site.

“Believe it or not, there is a lot of funding opportunities out there. Of course, you need to put in the hard work to generate good ideas, produce great proposals and meet the funders requirements and deadlines to be competitive,” says Prof. Madara Ogot. ag. Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Research, Production and Extension. “We will constantly add new funding opportunities to the Grants and Opportunities site, enabling you to search and hopefully find the ones that are just right for you and your team.”
The opportunities posted on the site include research grants, fellowships, travel grants, infrastructure grants, student and staff mobility, paid training opportunities, among others.
“My team will continuously seek opportunities where Kenyan researchers and students are eligible and post to the site,” said Prof. Madara. “The site will be continuously updated, with new features including setting up email alerts, ability to bookmark and saving settings. To use these features and make better use of the site, please set up a free account.”
The office will be sending general emails to staff and students each week with the opportunities that have been added to the site in the last seven days.
“We hope you find the site useful and we welcome any feedback,” he ends.
