Mahatma Gandhi Graduate Library is now open

The library welcomes all post graduate students and faculty to Mahatma Gandhi Graduate Library.


All undergraduate students are required to make their request of any print information source available in this Library through their base librarian who will facilitate the loaning of the required item. The library is progressively upgrading all other libraries to have services that are at par with Mahatma Gandhi Graduate Library.

Gandhi Smarak Nidhi Fund – Postgraduate Scholarship: 2017/2018 Academic Year

The Gandhi Smarak Nidhi fund will offer a limited number of partial scholarships tenable at the University of Nairobi, for Masters Programmes during the 2017/2018 academic year.
Interested candidates are invited to apply/re-apply for the scholarship through our online application portal ( from Friday July 28, 2017.  A non-refundable application fees of Kenya Shillings Two thousand Only (KShs. 2,000.00) will be charged to be paid through MPESA services.

*Please pay only when the application system prompts you to pay.

Applicants must have attained at least an Upper Second Class Honours or its equivalent at Bachelors Level and must upload onto the application portal a letter of offer for postgraduate studies at the University of Nairobi for a Masters programme (not PhD).
Deadline for application is Friday September 1, 2017.
Only successful applicants will be contacted through the same portal.
