| This book is based on research on internal migration during the 80s. It analyses the inter-dependence of rural-urban migration to the capital city of Nairobi and the regional town of Kisumu, and rural development in the two major out-migration districts of Siaya and Kisumu of Nyanza province, in western Kenya. The book looks at the incessant controversy surrounding the role played by urban migrants in rural development in the developing countries in view of sporadic empirical evidence on the subject. |
