German Chancellor to Visit UoN

German Chancellor, Dr Angela Merkel

The German Chancellor, Her Excellency, Dr. Angela Merkel will visit the University of Nairobi on July 12, 2011, and deliver a lecture on political and economic partnerships.

 

 The Chancellor will arrive at UoN shortly before 3.00 pm to deliver the lecture. On arrival she will be met by top university officials who will escort her to Taifa Hall.  The proceedings of the lecture will be streamed live by some media houses. Dr Merkel, a PhD holder in Physics, is the first woman and first East German to head the Federal Republic of Germany.  Invited guests to the lecture are expected to be seated by 2.30 pm.
