SONU ELECTIONS
 
I hereby announce, under Article 18 subsection (1) of the SONU Constitution (2015), that the SONU elections shall be held on Friday 1st April, 2016.
 
Other details will be communicated in due course, namely:-
  1. Nomination date
  2. Nomination procedure
  3. Date of commencement of official campaigns.
Prospective candidates and students are advised to refrain from activities which are inconsistent with the rules and regulations of the Electoral Commission, such as early campaigns before nominations, or unruly conduct.  Violation of any election rules or regulations, and/or the Rules and Regulations Governing the Organization, Conduct and Discipline of Students of the University of Nairobi will lead to appropriate disciplinary action, including automatic disqualification from the election process.

PAYMENT OF NOMINATION FEES
 
This is to inform all prospective candidates that they shall be required to pay kshs. 3,250.00 nomination fee for Executive Positions and       kshs. 1,000.00 for Congress Positions to College Bursars in their respective Campuses. 
 
College Bursars shall receive nomination fees on Thursday 10th March, 2016 and Friday 11th March, 2016 from 8.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
 
Please note that a candidate shall only be issued with nomination forms upon submission of a valid and original receipt to the SONU Electoral Commission.
