UoN and Korea to Enhance Partnership

Masters in Korean studies, an establishment of korea corner and a proposal to partner in nuclear science course at the University of Nairobi are among the issues that were discussed during a courtesy call by the Korean Deputy Head of Mission, Mr. In-taek Kim to the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Peter Mbithi.

The government of Korea and the University of Nairobi have had a long relationship that has seen Korean studies in the department of Linguistics and Languages flourish. In a quest to expand the areas of the relationship and mutually benefit from it, a Masters in Korean studies has been proposed.

The government of Korea through its Embassy has pledged to help in facilitating the Korea corner that will be set up at the University of Nairobi.
