Administration of Research Ethics

In carrying out its day to day operations, KNH/UON-ERRC shall be responsible to the Director of KNH or her/his appointee. Important administrative and technical decisions shall, however, be communicated to the Principal, College of Health Sciences (CHS) University of Nairobi and respective Deans Directors of schools/facilities in the UON for information and action when and where applicable.

If you have questions about the rules of procedures for ethical review or the applicability of the information in this manual to your proposal, first contact your Departmental Research Committee (DRC).  DRCs serve as the liaison between the ERRC and the faculty staff, and students in the departments and colleges where research is conducted with human participants.  If your DRC representative cannot answer your questions, or your department does not have a DRC, contact, KNH/UON-ERRC Secretariat Tel 726300 Ext: 44102
